Illusion of Reality - We are all Wrong
Illusion of Reality - We are all Wrong
We construct what we think of as reality by interpreting presented data and accepted facts.
Our brains are wired to perceive, and our environment and expectations can really make those perceptions differ.
Check out the cool illusions linked below and test for yourself!
"Reality" is constructed by your brain, an article.
So, if we are all wrong about things we think we know, and even see with our own eyes from time to time, why are we so invested in being right?
You can blame your brain for that.
How do we even know what we know?
We all need to examine our expectations and personal biases and commit to truth-seeking.
If we all do what is right only in our own eyes, we are not acting in a unified spirit of love or of truth, but according to our own flawed perceptions and selfish natures.
Our perceptions of data itself prevent us from having anything but a subjective experience of that data, and we are all prone to dismiss facts that do not support our biases.
This is one reason that so-called "fact-checkers" are criticized, but a better reason is that we believe that those that control the media to promote and censor information, do so to support their own goals and interests.
Governments, Presidents, Dictators, Illuminati (feel free to fact-check), Judges, Senators, Sith Lords, Kings, and Queens....good or evil they all pass away.
Is there an authority that does not pass away? Is there an eternal and unchanging power that speaks in Truth and acts in Love?
"The truth will set you free."
Trust in yourself for the truth, and you will be deceived. Trust in "the science" and that will change. Even science is not immune from subjectivity.
You may have "truths" or opinions you hold dear, but that alone does not make them objectively true.
We are not authors of truth, and none of us are immune from deception.
You may disagree. You may have convinced yourself that you alone are the author of your truth and your reality. If that is so, then what you perceive of truth and reality however self-affirming will live and die with you.
In contrast, objective reality and eternal truth are not something any one of us controls. We will all pass away, and our beliefs with us. If there is an objective and eternal truth, we are all players within a bigger-than-us reality. We are all players in life, amateur philosophers and scientists gathering and analyzing data within our framework of values.
