Do you Believe in the Supernatural?
Do you Believe in the Supernatural?
There is a physical world and a spiritual reality. The physical reality is made of time, space, matter, and energy. The spiritual world is the realm of the supernatural, which lies beyond those restrictions but nevertheless is present.
Do you doubt it? Where does your doubt exist? Is it physical or mental doubt? Have you experienced intuition or a feeling of knowing that you could not explain? Where did that come from?
Mental Exercise
Recall an instance when the duration of time seemed to stand still. Now think of when time seemingly flew or seemed to drag on forever. Is your perception of time relative? Is it relative to your circumstances or to your changing desires?
Does time exist, or is it merely our perception of causes and effects that exist? This would explain our subjective view of time in circumstances that we want to rush through, as opposed to those we wish could last. Causation is the relationship between the cause which has agency (the power to take creative action) and the effect or the result of the creative action.
You have some physical agency, the power to act and therefore, to cause reactions or effects. You live in the physical realm and are limited to time, space, matter, and energy. You and I exercise and experience causation every day.
Supernatural Power
You also have some spiritual agency. You have knowledge of things with no explanation, you have an understanding of faith, and you have experienced intuition. Your spirit enables you to interact with and experience the supernatural world, but not without limit.
God is spirit, limitless, timeless, and eternal. God is all-powerful, the first cause, the creator of the physical realm, humanity, our physical world.
We are spiritual beings living within the temporal, physical constraints, creating our experiences, and feeling the effects as either good or bad. Wouldn't it be lovely to avoid the bad, and create more of the good? We often look to the changing physical world to give us peace, pleasure, and purpose. What if we looked inward to our spiritual life to cultivate more good?
Physical Produce Vs. Spiritual Produce
The physical results or fruits of our best labor in the physical world may produce a paycheck, accolades, academic degrees, rewards, public approval, and material goods.
The fruit of the spirit is cultivated with the help of God and is the result of God's Holy Spirit working in your life. These are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I don't know about you, but I could use more of these spiritual fruits in my own daily life.
