Don't Fake it. Faith it!

What is it you are currently faking?

Are you faking a feeling, talent, circumstance, or mindset?

Did you know that you actually cannot fake anything?  Even if you think you are a good liar, your body will contradict you, and it can be dangerous!

You have to actually believe in your gifts, worthiness, luck, or talents before you can access them. 

This is contrary to the philosophy that you should "Fake it until you make it." 

You don't want a fake boat to get you through the storm. You want a real boat, but it still requires some faith to get on the boat. Belief tells you the boat will float, but you still got to get on that boat! 

Faith Over Fear

I would never ask you to fake it; however, I would ask you to Faith it. What's the difference? Faith is evidence-based, but faking it sends the message out that you don't really believe it, and that you are settling for fake goods. Why would you or anyone else want to invest in delusion? 

Faith or belief in something, is tied to evidence that becomes known over time. Faith is like mailing a love letter. You are doing your part, and trusting that the universe is doing its part to get it there. 

Feeling Alone

What if you don't have a lot of trust, or you feel alone, with nothing and no one to believe in. Without hope, you will unlikely develop faith. 

Twinning

Faith and Hope are like twin sisters. When all seems lost and it is very dark, Hope is your best friend. Hope is the sweet whisper, the gentle tug, the little light that braves the dark with you. Hold onto Hope. Hope does not abandon you. 

Now let's talk about her sister, Faith. Faith does not whisper, nudge or flicker. Faith says, "Take my hand." Faith says, "Wait, for my signal." Faith is the action that occurs in your heart. Faith experienced in your heart is belief, and this belief is what calms your busy, worried, restless mind. 

Fraud or Friend?

Your mind says, "I have not figured it all out yet. I'm a fraud. I have to fake it! What if..a million things I can think of go wrong?" 

Your mind is not your friend if all it is doing is playing Devil's advocate. You need real advocates. Hope and Faith are your friends. Don't settle for fake. This is your life, this is your love letter.
